New Coach for the Colts

The Indianapolis Colt's coach Tony Dungy retired this week. He was the Colts coach for 4 years and lead them to 2 Super Bowl victories. I his place will be 53-year old Jim Caldwell. I his first press conference he said that he didn't want it to turn into one of those beer commercials. He really has a lot of head coach experience that you can see at http://www.boston.com/sports/football/articles/2009/01/13/a_look_at_new/colts_coach_jim_caldwell/

War in Gaza

After about a week around Christmas when Gaza was sending rockets into Israel, Israel finally responded by flood troops in to the tiny nation and bombing Gaza's largest city Gaza City. While Israel was in Gaza, Lebanon take the opportunity by bombing Israel from the north. I think that Gaza setting it up so Israel looks like a big mean country when Gaza was just pushing Israel buttons. I heard that Gaza's main base is under a hospital so Israel like can't attack them with out being slugged by the world media.

Special Edition : Ted Kennedy

Today after the inaugural lunch-in Senator Ted Kennedy collapsed and what they said looked like a seizure. Senator Kennedy had a seizure about 3-months ago and had surgery for a brain tumor. He was taken away in ambulance and we have not heard anything since then. He and Caroline Kennedy are the only living descendants of President John F. Kennedy and was a major help in President Obama campaign.

Future Olympics

Within the last year they have announced the Olympics for 2010, 2012 , and 2014. The 2012 Winter Olympics will be held in Vancouver, Canada. Then the 2012 Summer Olympics will be held in London, England. Finally the 2014 Winter Olympics will be held in Sochi, Russia. If you don't know where it is I don't blame you but its near the Georgian border. That's Georgia the country, not the state.

Inauguration Day II

Today is a very historic day in American history. Barack Obama will swear in today at 12:oop.m. E.T. He will be the first African-American president. Swearing in will be followed by the Presidential Parade. Barack Obama will be using and signing the same Bible as Abraham Lincoln used and signed. He will be the only presindent other than Lincoln that has done so. Rumor has it that Barack Obama even drank out of fthe same glass that Abraham Lincoln drank out of. He will be our 44th president.

Super Bowl Sunday II

Last night the Arizona Cardinals beat the Philadelphia Eagles 32 to 25. The Cardinals will now proceed to Super Bowl 43. Before I continue, Go Cardinals!!! Anyway the Pittsburg Steelers beat the Baltimore Ravens 23 to 14. The game changer was when safety Troy Polamalu caught an interception to seal their lead in the 4th quarter. They will play on February 1st in Tampa Bay, Florda. I think that the Cardinals will win. Or at least want them to.

Hudson River Crash

Last Thursday US jetliner crashes into the the Hudson River. The plane left from New York, New York headed for Charlotte, North Carolina. Eyewitnesses said that seconds from lift-off both engines were hit by a flock of Canadian geese. Then former Air-Force pilot Captain C.B Sullenburg made a split-second decision to land in the frigid Hudson River. Nearly missing the busy George Washington Bridge. All 151 opened the middle door and waited on the wings until water taxi rescued them of the plane. All 151 passengers survived.
I think that it was hard but they are over reacting about it. The plane was probably filled with a whole bunch of rich New Yorkers. But that's my opinion.
